Equipped for the Wilderness: Strength, Wisdom and Provision for the Journey
The wilderness can feel overwhelming—marked by uncertainty, weariness, and questions with no easy answers. But it is also the place where God draws near, guiding us with His presence and equipping us with everything we need.
Join us for this online conference created specifically for women serving cross-culturally. Together, we’ll explore how God offers strength for the hard days, wisdom for the unknown, and provision when resources feel scarce. Inspired by Exodus 13:17–22, we’ll remember that the same God who led His people with a pillar of cloud and fire still goes before us today.
Experience powerful keynotes from Sarah Yardley, Jenny Erlingsson, and Denise Beck that speak to the everyday and the eternal. Take part in workshops crafted to stir both heart and hands—practical wisdom for relationships and work, grief and growth, creativity and calling. Woven with truth and tenderness—covering the quiet corners of daily life—this global online event is designed to meet women right where they are.
Wherever you serve, whatever season you’re in—this is your space to be poured into, to be reminded that you are seen, loved, and equipped for the wilderness.

Keynote speakers including:
Denise Beck
Shaped by her time as a wife, mother, and ministry leader in South Sudan, Denise Beck now allows those experiences to guide her in her role as Executive Director of Velvet Ashes. Bringing hope and courage to women as they serve cross-culturally is a role she feels honored to pursue whether through her leadership at Velvet Ashes or alongside her husband as he cares for global workers as the Executive Director of Barnabas International. She and her husband happily serve together from a small village in Southern Wisconsin.
Jenny Erlingsson
Jenny Erlingsson is a speaker and author of romantic fiction and creative non-fiction who currently makes her home in both Alabama and Iceland with her family. When she is not ministering with her Viking husband or mothering her adorably feisty kids, she can be found writing and reading in the margins, with a side of Icelandic chocolate.
Sarah Yardley
She enjoys travel, reading, coffee, feasting with friends, and exploring the beauty of the invitation to a deep and true faith in Jesus. She has traveled to over 100 countries in the adventure of faith, led festivals and creative projects around the world, and leads at Emmaus Road in Guildford. She writes regularly for Lectio 365, preaches and teaches in creative communities, and daily discovers what it means to follow Jesus and invite her community to know they are radically loved.
