Girls Night In

  1. Spa Night

You create a peaceful atmosphere and decide how involved or simple you want to make the night. From providing all of the elements for facials, manicures or pedicures, to inviting everyone to bring the supplies to pamper themselves. There are several ideas for DIY spa recipes. We are providing some at home spa recipes that were included in our 2021 “Invited” Online Retreat. Soft music, Essential oils, and snacks are a great addition to this night.

  1. Jammie Movie Night

Have all of the fun of a slumber party but send everyone home to sleep in their own beds! Pick out a fun movie and invite everyone to wear their PJ’s and slippers. Throw blankets and pillows on the floor, and provide easy movie snacks!

  1. Crafty Night!

Love to create? Have a craft party. You can assign someone with the skill set to lead the group through the night. Some examples are knitting, cross stitch, painting, so many! In your invitation just give a list of supplies they would need to bring and enjoy! You can build relationships and leave with a new skill!

  1. Themed Game Night

Love a good game night? Throw in a fun twist by making it 80’s themed! There are so many directions you can go with this. Superhero? Jungle? You can even get the snacks on theme with you.

  1. Presentation Party

On this night each of YOU are the entertainment!  Ask each friend to prepare a 15 minute powerpoint presentation. When you invite people, explain the expectations of the party. What’s the time limit or slide limit on each presentation? This night could be informative or funny! Here are some ideas taken from: https://www.realsimple.com/holidays-entertaining/entertaining/powerpoint-party-ideas

Leave Smarter Ask everyone to simply choose a topic they’re passionate about and teach everyone. Is it Egyptian Pyramids? Or ethical cosmetics? Either way you leave smarter.

The best [whatever] of all time Assign a topic like TV show, board game, fictional character, food, city, etc.  Each presenter has to choose based on that topic and make the case that their pick is the best of all time.

Assigning characters The idea for this theme is that the presenter makes a presentation explaining who everyone in attendance would be based on a grouping of their choice (characters in a certain book, movie or cartoon; foods, animals, etc)  Ex: Which Superhero would each of your friends be?

One presentation tip: Try to use your slideshow for images, graphs, and key words or phrases that help make your point. Don’t just read what’s on the screen:

Try to use notecards to make your argument.
